2019 SCAD VFX short Time and Memory.
To make my senior project more significant, I decided to reach out and focus my piece about Alzheimer’s to bring more awareness about the disease.
When I was young I worked with Alzheimer’s patients and Geriatric care along with my mother Emilie Padayao Nicod . So I wanted to try to reach out about a topic that people don’t think about until they are older or their own loved ones get it.
Alzheimer’s is not merely forgetting memories or a normal part of aging, the brain develops holes and loses function over time until the body forgets how to understand stimuli. Forgetting how to understand color, personality, movements, or even swallowing, until all involuntary functions shut down. It’s a complete loss of humanity and entire lives people have built.
With the help and advisement from the Alzheimer's Association, I dedicated my last college piece to bringing more awareness.
